Where do I find my AWB number?
Your AWB (Air Waybill) number is provided in the receipt/invoice when you book your shipment. It's also sent via SMS and WhatsApp. If you can't find it, call us with your booking details.
How long does tracking take to update?
Tracking updates usually appear within 24-48 hours after pickup. International shipments may take slightly longer to show initial scans as they go through customs processing.
What does "In Transit" mean?
"In Transit" means your package is on its way and moving through the courier network. It could be on a flight, in a sorting facility, or out for delivery to the destination.
My tracking shows "Held at Customs" - what now?
This is normal for international shipments. Customs may need to inspect or process paperwork. Most packages clear within 1-3 business days. If it takes longer, contact us and we'll help resolve any customs queries.
Can I change delivery address after shipping?
Address changes may be possible depending on the shipment status. Contact us immediately with your AWB number and we'll check if rerouting is available. Additional charges may apply.

When you book an international courier with SLP Express, your parcel undergoes a carefully coordinated, secure transit process. Here are the 5 major stages your package goes through:

1. Doorstep Pickup & Labelling (Hyderabad)

Our driver collects your package from your home or office anywhere in Greater Hyderabad. The package is weighed on a calibrated scale, bubble-wrapped, sealed, and assigned a unique Air Waybill (AWB) number. The initial "Booked" or "Pickup Scanned" status is registered.

2. Consolidation & Carrier Uplift (Hyderabad Hub)

The parcel is brought to our central Hyderabad processing hub. It is sorted based on weight, destination, and selected vertical (e.g., Medicine, Pickles, Luggage). We hand it off directly to our premium carrier partners—DHL, FedEx, UPS, or Aramex—triggering the "Processed" or "Uplifted" scan.

3. Indian Customs Export Clearance (Gateway Hub)

Parcels travel to the major gateway airport (usually Hyderabad Rajiv Gandhi International Airport or Mumbai T2). Here, export customs officers inspect the declarations, prescription documents, and invoices. Status updates as "Export Customs Cleared" or "In Transit to Destination".

4. Destination Import Customs Clearance (Overseas)

Upon landing in the destination country (e.g., USA, UK, Canada), the parcel is processed at the carrier's international gateway (e.g., Memphis for FedEx, Cincinnati for DHL). Customs officials verify compliance. Any duties, taxes, or personal-use declarations (like FDA Section 321) are checked here. Status is shown as "In Clearance" or "Released by Customs".

5. Last-Mile Delivery & Proof of Delivery (Doorstep)

Once customs releases the parcel, it is sent to the local delivery hub closest to the recipient's address. A delivery courier is dispatched, out-for-delivery scans are updated, and the parcel is signed for, triggering the final "Delivered" or "Signed for by Receiver" update.

🟢 In Transit

Your package is actively moving through the carrier network. It has either departed a sorting facility, is currently on a flight, or is headed to the next regional hub.

🟡 Customs Clearance

The shipment is being reviewed by customs officials in the destination country. This is standard protocol. Most personal shipments clear within 24 to 48 hours.

🔵 Out for Delivery

The package has arrived at the local carrier delivery station and has been loaded onto a delivery van. Expect doorstep arrival by the end of the day.

Are you a direct DHL, FedEx and UPS aggregator?

Yes — SLP Express is a direct, official bulk aggregator for DHL, FedEx, UPS and Aramex. We hand the carriers large daily volumes, so we earn wholesale rates and pass the saving to you — typically up to 30–40% below direct/retail carrier prices, for the exact same carriers and service.

If your rates are lower, is delivery slower or different?

No. Your parcel moves on the same DHL, FedEx or UPS network with the same transit times as booking direct — you simply pay the aggregator (wholesale) price instead of the retail counter price. Same carrier, same speed, lower cost.

How can you offer wholesale rates on a single parcel?

We are a high-volume aggregator serving 30,000+ customers across Hyderabad. That bulk volume earns partner pricing from the carriers, and even your single parcel gets the bulk rate.

Why is my courier quote cheaper somewhere else?

A low per-kg quote is usually a base rate — before fuel surcharge (15–25%) and 18% GST, which add about ₹300–400/kg. A ₹600/kg quote often becomes ₹900–1,000/kg at billing. SLP's rate is all-inclusive — fuel, GST, free pickup, 3-layer packing and customs are already in it. Stripped of fuel and GST our base is about ₹550/kg, but we quote the honest final price instead of a teaser that doubles later.

Are there any hidden fees or surprise surcharges?

No. Fuel surcharge, GST, free doorstep pickup, 3-layer packing and customs handling are all included in the per-kg rate you see. What you are quoted is what you pay.

Is there a minimum weight for free pickup and packing?

No. We offer free doorstep pickup and professional 3-layer packing on any shipment — from a single document to bulk cargo, with no minimum weight.

Is my shipment insured against loss?

Yes. If your shipment is lost, we cover the value of your items up to ₹15,000, at no extra charge.

Will my parcel get stuck in customs, and what if a duty is charged?

Our 20+ years of export invoicing and packing keep shipments moving through customs smoothly, with a 98% clearance success rate. If a duty is ever wrongly applied, our in-house dispute form plus correct invoicing get it waived or refunded in around 90% of cases — keeping your shipment low-risk.

How do I track my shipment?

How long does international delivery take?

Typically DHL 2–4 working days, FedEx 3–5 working days, and UPS 3–6 working days to most destinations.

What is volumetric weight?

Couriers charge the higher of actual weight and volumetric weight (length × width × height in cm ÷ 5000). A large but light box can be billed on its size — we pack tight so you are billed on real weight, keeping cost down.

Do you provide a GST invoice for businesses?

Yes — we issue full GST tax invoices for business and bulk shippers.
