Terms of Service
Last updated: 27 May 2026 · Effective immediately · Governed by the laws of India
Plain summary: By using SLP Express services or this website, you agree to these terms. You're responsible for accurate item declarations and legal contents. We're responsible for professional handling, packing and carrier dispatch. Liability is capped per Section 9. Disputes are resolved in Hyderabad courts.
1. Acceptance of these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of:
- The website slpcouriers.in and its sub-pages
- International courier services provided by SLP Express ("we", "us", "SLP")
- WhatsApp, email and phone communication with our team
- Any booking placed through any of the above channels
By booking a shipment, using our website, or sending us your shipping details, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
2. Service description
SLP Express International Couriers is an independent international courier aggregator based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. We provide:
- Doorstep pickup of parcels across Greater Hyderabad and Secunderabad
- Professional packing using export-grade materials
- Customs documentation preparation (commercial invoice, packing list, KYC)
- Dispatch through partner carriers — DHL Express, FedEx, UPS, Aramex and others
- Door-to-door delivery to 220+ countries via the chosen carrier's network
- AWB-based shipment tracking and WhatsApp delivery notifications
SLP Express is not an "official partner" of any single carrier — we operate as an independent multi-carrier aggregator. Carrier logos and names displayed on our website are trademarks of their respective owners, used here for descriptive purposes only.
3. Your responsibilities as a sender
When you book a shipment with SLP Express, you agree to:
- Declare contents truthfully and completely in writing or via WhatsApp before pickup. Mis-declaration is the leading cause of customs seizures and parcel losses.
- Declare an accurate value of contents in INR. Under-declaration to evade destination customs duty is illegal in most countries and shifts the risk fully to you.
- Provide a valid recipient address including ZIP/postal code, phone number, and email — incomplete addresses cause delivery failures for which SLP is not liable.
- Provide valid sender KYC — Aadhaar or passport copy and PAN where applicable.
- Not ship prohibited items (see Section 4 below). You will indemnify SLP for any consequences of shipping undeclared prohibited items.
- Pack items safely if you choose to self-pack. If we pack at pickup, this is included free; if you self-pack, our standard packing guarantees do not apply.
- Be available at pickup time on the confirmed slot or appoint someone to hand over the parcel.
- Pay applicable charges at the rate quoted at booking, including any add-ons (insurance, premium service, etc.).
4. Prohibited items
The following items cannot be shipped through SLP Express under any circumstances:
Universally prohibited (IATA Dangerous Goods + Indian Customs)
- Live animals or animal products in fresh form
- Currency, bullion (gold/silver in raw form), negotiable instruments, bonds
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, fireworks of any kind
- Flammable liquids and solids (petrol, paint, lighter fluid, fireworks)
- Compressed gases (aerosol cans larger than carrier limits, oxygen cylinders)
- Radioactive material, biological samples without medical-courier license
- Corrosive substances (acids, mercury thermometers, batteries leaking electrolyte)
- Magnetised material above carrier threshold
- Lithium battery banks above 100Wh
- Narcotic drugs, psychotropic substances under NDPS Act 1985
- Counterfeit goods, pirated media, items violating intellectual property rights
- Pornographic material, items prohibited by the destination country's laws
- Endangered species under CITES (ivory, tortoise shell, certain seeds)
- Items requiring export licenses you do not possess (eg. dual-use technology, ancient artefacts)
Destination-specific restrictions
Many countries restrict specific items. Common examples:
- USA / FDA: Homemade pickles, fresh fruits, meat-based foods, certain herbal supplements without FDA labelling
- Australia / DAFF: All seeds, all meat products, most dairy, fresh produce, certain herbal items, wooden articles without fumigation certificate
- New Zealand / MPI: Similar to Australia plus restrictions on honey and bee products
- EU: Animal-origin foods without veterinary certificate, raw timber, certain plant material
- Saudi Arabia: Pork products, alcohol, religious materials of non-Islamic faiths in significant quantity
We will advise you on destination-specific rules before pickup. If you ship a prohibited item without our knowledge and the parcel is seized or destroyed, you bear the full loss — no refund, no compensation.
5. Our responsibilities
SLP Express commits to:
- Provide doorstep pickup within the agreed slot or notify you of any delay
- Pack your shipment using export-grade materials following our published packing standards
- Prepare accurate customs documentation based on the contents and values you declare
- Dispatch your shipment via the carrier suited to your destination and timeline
- Provide the AWB / tracking number within 1 business day of carrier handover
- Respond to your service queries via WhatsApp within business hours (9 AM – 8 PM)
- Process refunds promptly per our published Refund Policy

6. Weight verification
At pickup, our representative will weigh your parcel using a calibrated digital scale in your presence. The weight recorded at pickup is the final chargeable weight for billing purposes. Where applicable, volumetric weight (Length × Width × Height in cm ÷ 5000) is computed and the higher of actual/volumetric is used per IATA standards. The weight measurement and computation are not subject to dispute after pickup is completed.
7. Customs clearance disclaimer
SLP Express prepares and submits customs documentation as required. However, the final decision to clear, hold, inspect, or refuse entry to your parcel rests entirely with the destination country's customs authority. We have no control over and accept no liability for:
- Customs delays — these are determined by the destination authority's workflow
- Customs duties, taxes, VAT, GST or any fees levied by the destination country (these are payable by the recipient unless otherwise pre-arranged)
- Customs holds for inspection or investigation
- Customs seizure of parcels due to undeclared prohibited contents, under-declaration of value, or violation of destination import laws
- Return-to-origin charges levied by customs or carrier if the parcel is refused entry
8. Pricing, taxes and payment
- Quoted rates are valid for 7 days from quote date unless otherwise stated.
- All quoted rates are exclusive of 18% GST which is added at invoicing per Indian GST law.
- Destination country duties, taxes and fees (if any) are the recipient's responsibility unless explicitly pre-paid by you with a documented agreement.
- Payment is due at the time of pickup or as per our published terms.
- We accept UPI, bank transfer (NEFT/IMPS/RTGS), credit/debit card and cash. Cash payments above ₹2,00,000 require PAN copy per Income Tax Rule 114B.
9. Limitation of liability
Our maximum liability for any single shipment, regardless of the cause of loss or damage, is capped as follows:
- Without declared-value insurance: ₹5,000 per parcel + refund of the courier charges paid for that shipment.
- With declared-value insurance (1.2% of declared value, opted at booking): up to declared value, capped at ₹2,00,000 per parcel.
- For documents: ₹5,000 plus cost of replacement document procurement, capped at ₹5,000 without insurance.

- Loss caused by force majeure events (see Refund Policy Section 6)
- Acts or omissions of carriers, customs authorities or other third parties
This limitation applies whether the claim is based on contract, tort, statute or any other legal theory.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold SLP Express, its proprietor, employees, and partner carriers harmless from any claims, damages, costs, penalties, or losses (including legal fees) arising from:
- Your shipment containing prohibited items not disclosed to us at booking
- Misrepresentation or false declaration of contents or value
- Violation of destination country import laws
- Violation of these Terms of Service
- Violation of any applicable Indian law (NDPS Act, Foreign Trade Act, Customs Act, etc.)
- Infringement of any third party's intellectual property or other rights through your shipment
